They recently worked with a graduate student to create a master plan for a future new facility. Transitional housing facility not coming to Spokane’s Carlyle Hotel despite rumors
SPOKANE, Wash. — A new proposed transitional housing facility will not be coming to Spokane’s historic Carlyle Hotel. A spokesperson for Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown confirmed the administration believes the owners of the Carlyle have accepted an offer on the property. While the city isn’t sure who made that offer, they know it wasn’t Catholic Charities.
Trial delayed a year for Coeur d’Alene teen with alleged ISIS ties
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — The 18-year-old Coeur d’Alene resident accused of planning to attack local churches on behalf of ISIS is expected to stand trial in May 2025. Alexander S. Mercurio pleaded not guilty in federal court last month to attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terror organization. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and up to a lifetime of supervised release.
