MISS COASTAL SHORE 2024 Ashley Campbell and Miss Cumberland County 2024 Rylee Howerton were recently invited to present their social platforms to the Cumberland County Commissioners during a monthly meeting. Both Cumberland County residents, Campbell, of Bridgeton, and Howerton, of Vineland, will be competing for the title of Miss New Jersey this June in Atlantic City.

The event was co-sponsored by the city of Millville, the Cumberland County Utilities Authority, and the Landis Sewerage Authority, and was held at The Authority’s Solid Waste Complex.

City says working on Vineland recreation center problems
VINELAND — The city is under pressure to upgrade the Carl V. Arthur Recreation Center amid tensions between two youth groups that share access to the center. The city owns the 304 West Plum Street facility, whose features include a park, basketball and handball courts, and a pool. The center needs extensive renovations but there is no firm plan on what to do and how to pay for it, officials acknowledged at the City Council meeting on May 21.
