Frankfort teen accused of raping, abusing girl over years
FRANKFORT — A Frankfort teenager is accused of repeatedly raping and sexually abusing an underage girl, according to the Frankfort Police Department. Police said the juvenile victim notified the authorities in April claiming that she had been subjected to sexual abuse on multiple occasions between 2022 and 2024. Police said the victim identified a 17-year-old male, who became the subject of a lengthy investigation, including a search warrant executed at his home.
Utica man accused of threatening person with knife, stealing wallet
UTICA — A 29-year-old man is accused of stealing another person's wallet and threatening them with a knife on South Street, according to the Utica Police Department. Police said David Santalucia, of Utica, threatened another person with a knife in the 600 block of South Street on June 3. Police said Santalucia stole the victim's wallet, which contained cash and credit cards. Santalucia fled the scene and was eventually identified and taken into custody this week, authorities stated.
Central NY woman injured when her car rolls over in crash on rural road
Forestport, N.Y. — A Central New York woman was given a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed after her car was involved in a roll-over crash Saturday, State Police said. Melody C. Stanford, 59, of Port Leyden, was driving a 2012 Mazda 5 west on Moose River Road around 8:43 a.m. in Forestport in Oneida County when she crashed, said Jennifer L. Jiron, a spokesperson for the State Police.
