When’s the last day of school before summer break in NYC?

NEW YORK (PIX11) – It’s getting close to the end of the school year in New York City, meaning summer vacations, camps and beach trips are around the corner.

As Alice Cooper once sang, “School’s out for summer!” But when will school wrap up for the year?

The last day of school for New York City public schools is Wednesday, June 26, according to the 2023-2024 academic calendar .

Students won’t have to wait until June 26 to get a day off, however. They’ll have some days off between now and the end of school.

Kids will also have days off on May 27, Memorial Day, June 6 for Chancellor’s Conference Day, Eid al-Adha on June 17 and Juneteenth on June 19.

Some students will also have Friday, June 7 off. Check which students have off that day here .
