Knicks fans have spooked 76ers ownership so much that it is purchasing tickets on its own to avoid a repeat of Game 4 .

At least that was what Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin said on X, that he and the 76ers owners have bought more than 2,000 tickets for Game 6 that will be given to fans of the home team.

“Josh Harris, David Blitzer, @david_adelman and I just bought more than 2,000 tix for Sixers Game 6 – we absolutely CANNOT let Knicks fans take over our arena again!!!” Rubin, a one-time minority owner of the 76ers, wrote .

“Giving them to first responders, health care professionals and other local Philadelphia-based organizations once we know they’re legit Sixers fans and not imposters!! Let’s go Sixers – we can do this!!”

Dawn Staley, the women’s basketball coach at South Carolina and a Philadelphia native, also encouraged 76ers fans to show up for Game 6.

“I need the @WellsFargoCtr full of @sixers fans….season tickets holders DO NOT SELL YOUR TICKETS to Knicks fans….I repeat DO NOT SELL YOUR TICKETS to Knicks fans! Pour into our @sixers! We can really do this ish man!!!,” she posted on X.

The Knicks nearly ended the opening-round series on Tuesday at the Garden, but blew a six-point lead in the final 25.1 seconds of regulation and lost in overtime.

Tyrese Maxey scored 46 points in the classic playoff contest including seven in the final 25.1 seconds of the fourth quarter, extending the series to a sixth game.

In the Knicks’ Game 4 win Sunday, fans of the orange and blue took over Wells Fargo Center, upsetting superstar center Joel Embiid.

After the victory, Knicks fans celebrated the win inside and outside the arena , busting out pro-Knicks chants and even draped a Knicks jersey over the statue of Wilt Chamberlain.

“Disappointed. I love our fans. I think it’s unfortunate — and I’m not calling them out — but it is disappointing,” Embiid said Sunday. “Obviously you got a lot of Knicks fans, they’re down the road. I’ve never seen it, and I’ve been here for 10 years. Yeah, it kind of pisses me off, especially because Philly is considered a sports town. They’ve always shown up. I don’t think that should happen. Yeah, it’s not OK.”

Ticket prices for the games in Philadelphia are significantly cheaper than for the games at MSG, which has, at least in part, led to the dynamic inside the 76ers’ arena.

Michael Collazo, a ticket broker based in Montclair, N.J., said that tickets for Game 5 at the Garden in section 109 went for $1,500 per seat on the secondary market.

Meanwhile, for Game 6 at Wells Fargo Center, equivalent seats in sections 110 and 122 cost between $380-$450.

Collazo, who runs his own ticket brokerage called Dahday, has worked in sales for the Cavaliers and Devils. He said that teams will try to avoid selling to opposing fans in a playoff series such as this one, but once tickets reach the secondary market, there really isn’t much teams can do.

Rubin and 76ers ownership, however, seem determined to take matters into their own hands and not let history repeat itself Thursday night.
