The New York state Department of Transportation is conducting a study to determine how to ease congestion between drivers, bikers and pedestrians at Grand Army Plaza.

The change is part of a $1.8 million capital project study based on traffic studies, design documents, outreach and construction.

It’s part of the Prospect Heights Public Realm Vision Plan, which studies Grand Army Plaza, Vanderbilt Avenue and Underhill Avenue.

The goal is to create a public space that is safer for pedestrians and cut down Flatbush traffic.

The DOT plans to host workshops and surveys in the coming weeks with a final concept projected to be completed by winter.
