SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Three Pennsylvania men are facing felony charges after police said they were led on a highspeed chase on the Pa. Turnpike.

Quamarri Curry, 20, of Uniontown, Davontae Clayton, 19, of Belle Vernon, and Pharoah Sewell, 20, of New Kensington, were arrested by Pennsylvania State Police after speeding past a trooper on the Turnpike. The three men were driving in a blue sedan and passed troopers going 106 miles per hour in a posted 70 miles per hour, according to the criminal complaint.

Troopers pulled out and began following the sedan, during which speeds reached up to 120 miles per hour. At one point, a black handgun was thrown out of the window, troopers noted in the complaint.

The three men then allegedly exited the Turnpike at the Somerset Interchange and continued through Somerset at a high rate of speed. They then got back onto the Turnpike and entered an active work zone, according to the complaint. After nearly 12 miles on the Turnpike, the sedan then pulled off on the shoulder and all three men were taken into custody.

Inside the sedan, troopers found a package containing suspected marijuana labeled as “bunnies” on the packaging, a small package of suspected marijuana residue labeled as “Zaza Runtz,” and a suspected marijuana cigar. The black handgun thrown from the sedan was recovered, which was reported stolen by the Philadelphia Police Department on August 30, 2023.
