NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — After making a “historic” cocaine bust this week, New Bedford police announced another drug arrest on Friday.

Police said they executed a search warrant at a North Street apartment as part of an investigation into an alleged cocaine delivery service.

The search led to the seizure of 345 grams of cocaine, drug packaging materials, a revolver and ammunition, according to police, as well as the arrest of 40-year-old Brandon Delgado.

Delgado is charged with trafficking more than 200 grams of cocaine and possessing a firearm and ammunition without a license.

Police said Delgado was previously convicted of cocaine distribution in 2006 and currently has three open felony cases. He’s being held without bail at the Bristol County House of Correction.

Police issued a reminder that anyone with information on suspected criminal activity can submit an anonymous tip on the department’s website or by calling (508)-992-7463.
