Projects to preserve Lake Superior shoreline underway
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The City of Marquette is continuing work to preserve and beautify its Lake Superior shoreline. Crews are testing rock along the shoreline near Lakeshore Boulevard to help prevent future erosion. Plans for the project include the creation of dunes for shoreline stabilization. That project will start as early as July and contractors have 18 months to complete it.
