Metro Nashville Police have identified the victim as 25-year-old Elonshe Williams. As of Monday afternoon, her cause of death is "unclassified." According to police, Williams had come to visit a female resident who has two children. Detectives are working to corroborate a report that one of the children, a three-year-old, fired the semi-automatic pistol that the victim brought to the apartment.

This is a developing story. We will update you as soon as we have more information.

Tennessee AG is suing fertility clinic for abandoning patients

Growing your family, no matter the journey to get there, is an emotional one. My heart aches for these families who trusted a Nashville fertility clinic with their dreams and finances. Hannah McDonald's relentlessness to find answers is journalism at its best and hopefully a new avenue of hope for the patients caught up in this mess.
