Man wanted in Nashville captured in Monroe County, stolen Enterprise truck recovered

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. ( WATE ) — A man wanted in Nashville was captured by detectives with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Monroe County Violent Crime Task Force Friday night.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives were able to track down the man late Friday evening after hours of hard work. The man was reportedly wanted out of Nashville for theft of more than $10,000.

The sheriff’s office said the man was located and taken into custody. Detectives recovered a stolen Enterprise truck as well as the stolen property that had been taken with the truck from the Nashville area.

The Monroe County Task Force is funded by a grant contract with the State of Tennessee and consists of members from the Madisonville Police Department. Sweetwater Police Department, Vonore Police Department and the Tellico Plains Police Department.
