HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The next-to-last weekend of May is here. Among the big events on the docket, the US Nationals for cyclists in Charleston, the Armed Forces Day Parade in South Charleston and the 2nd annual Taco Festival in Huntington. While the West Virginia State high school track and field meet goes rain or shine starting Friday, some delays due to lightning are possible in the evening. Both Kentucky and Ohio state Track and Field meets are next weekend. Turns out many outdoor events will be played in the rain.
Paving project begins on Route 34 in Teays Valley
TEAYS VALLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A project to repave a busy section of state Route 34 in Teays Valley got underway Monday night. All five lanes are being repaved between the areas of Mountain View Elementary and the Stone Gate subdivision, the Hurricane mayor says. The project is expected to last two to three weeks.
