More Than 100 Breweries Gather in an Indiana Corn Field for an Unforgettable Beer Festival
You can enjoy sampling cold beer all while winding through an 11-acre corn maze. Corn mazes are already a popular fall activity, but add in beer, and you've just taken it to a whole other level. I always enjoy a good beer festival, it's a great way to try a bunch of beers and find what you like, without the commitment of buying a 6-pack. You can try a taster, and if you don't like it, you can move on. I'm not even a huge fan of beer, but from attending local beer festivals, I've enjoyed trying different kinds, and to my surprise, I've actually found a few beers I like!

You might want to doublecheck your boneless chicken wings the next time you order out after a recent court ruling that says it's totally cool to have bones when something is marketed as "boneless." According to The Columbus Dispatch, the Ohio Supreme Court made 4-3 ruling this week that "just...

Evansville Restaurant Announces Permanent Closure After 46 Years in Business
I've noticed a really sad trend among local businesses lately. Along with a plea to support local, several owners have come very close to throwing in the towel. In the past month, the Evansville area has lost a number of businesses that were still fairly new. The recent announcement of The Pie Pan's impending closure is a stark reminder of the challenges facing small businesses in today's economy.
Indiana Suburb Just Named One of the 10 Best in America
One Indiana city just received some very high honors. Do you think you know which one it is?. I am proud to be a native of Indiana. I've lived here my whole life and while I wish we were closer to places like the beach, we still have a lot of great things to offer for a "flyover state". Indiana is full of many small towns with a great deal of charm. We also are home to a few big cities that have a lot to offer residents. Recently, one of these Indiana towns was named one of the top suburbs to live in the country. While it's not my hometown, I think it is a pretty big accolade for the state.
Warrick Humane Society’s $5 Donation Drive to Help Fund New Building
When I find myself utterly overwhelmed by a massive project, I have this mantra I say out loud:. HOW DO YOU EAT AN ELEPHANT? ONE BITE AT A TIME. It's not about literally eating elephants (definitely not!), but rather breaking down daunting tasks into manageable pieces. By tackling small tasks one by one, eventually the whole project gets done.

It's a song nearly everyone has heard. Honestly, it's a song that nearly everyone in the world has had sung to them multiple times. It's been translated to nearly two dozen different languages, likely even more. This particular song dates all the way back to 1912. Since that time, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, it has become the most recognized song in the English language. The song? Happy Birthday! Did you know that it was written here in Kentucky?
KY Authorities Have Discovered Card Skimmers in Retail, Grocery Stores
I don't classify myself as a paranoid person, but I've got to be honest with you, when I first learned of the existence of card skimmers, my paranoia amped up a bit. With progress comes convenience but also nefariousness. It seems every form of new technology developed to make our lives easier can also be manipulated to make our lives, in some cases, a nightmare. And because of identity theft, even more new technology must be created--and rather quickly, too--to counteract the behavior of bad actors.
