GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – We want to tell you about a special musical event coming to two West Michigan locations! The Taste of Ireland is an Irish music and dance performance touring around the world and making two stops in our area. The tour is hot off its Off-Broadway premiere and starting its tour of the United States. They tell us you’ll laugh, cry and jig into the night with a production that they call “Celtic, for this generation.” The tour will come to the Frauenthal Theatre on Friday night and they’re at Miller Auditorium in Kalamazoo on Saturday. The cast features former World Irish dance champions, as well as dancers from the West End’s Lord of the Dance and Riverdance. ‘A Taste of Ireland’ transports the audience through the story of Ireland’s tumultuous history delivered with a pint of Irish wit and it’s a show for all ages.

Another Michigan State football player is on the move. Former Spartan offensive lineman Andy Hartman committed to transfer to Grand Valley State University on Friday. Muskegon County caregiver accused of submitting false Medicaid claims
LANSING, MI - A Montague woman is facing prison time after she allegedly lied about providing in-home care to collect Medicaid dollars. Julia Bland, 28, was arraigned at Ingham County’s 54-B District Court Friday, May 17 on one count of Medicaid fraud, a four-year felony, according to a news release from Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
