High school football history is filled with records once considered unbreakable — but some were eventually surpassed and others might never have existed at all. From a 72-game winning streak and Ken Hall's 11,232 career rushing yards to a 52-game shutout streak, the sport's most enduring marks have produced their share of challengers, controversy and mythology.

Brauny's Best: Highlighting top high school performances from Week 1
Football has returned to the Friday Night Lights of the Lone Star State, and with that, I will continue our weekly breakdowns of top performances across Texas and beyond. While there may have been some more gaudy statistical nights turned in by future Aggies, I chose Frampton because it was his first action as a Texas high school football player after moving to San Antonio from Arkansas during the offseason. He also jumped in headfirst as San Antonio Brandeis kicked off their 2026 campaign against rivals San Antonio O'Connor in front of a packed house in the Alamo City. Frampton delivered on the big stage and helped propel the Broncos to a 35-28 victory. I also love that the stat line reveals the type of player he is and why we continue to list him as an athlete. As the season progresses, he'll have nights where his offensive numbers make many people ponder a future on that side of the ball in Aggieland. For now, those two interceptions have to make Mike Elko and Bryant Gross-Armiento smile.
