Hayward Manhunt Ends with Suspect Andres Sanchez in Custody on Murder and Multiple Felony Charges
A violent confrontation on the streets of Hayward has led to a desperate manhunt and a grim discovery, local authorities report. On April 26, an argument between two men escalated when one, now identified as 38-year-old Andres Sanchez, allegedly drew a gun and opened fire, fatally shooting his opponent. According to the Hayward Police Department, witnesses failed to alert the police immediately, remaining silent until providing a belated account on April 28.
