Dancing on the Cooper returns to Mt. Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County Parks’ live music series makes a return to Mt. Pleasant on Friday with music from the Shem Creek Boogie Band.

Dancing on the Cooper opens at 7 p.m. with live music until 10 p.m. On select Fridays this spring and summer, a different local band will play each month.

“Guests will enjoy dancing to a variety of live musical genres throughout the season, including beach/shag, funk/soul, rock, country, 60s, 70s, 80s and today’s greatest hits,” says Charleston County officials.

This year’s musical lineup includes:

June 7 – Tommy & The Chucktown Players
July 19 – Island Party Band
September 13 – The Cooper River Band
