The team behind popular food hall Gather Greenville is extending its vision to Mount Pleasant . Led by Mack and Doug Cross of Four Oaks Property Group , Gather MTP has been in the works since 2022.

According to The Post and Courier , the 5.5-acre park concept would be nestled within the existing Midtown residential development off Rifle Range Road , stretching from Hungry Neck Boulevard to Hancock Street . The goal is to commence construction this year.

Mack Cross envisions Gather MTP as a “community gathering space,” boasting amenities like an artificial turf area, a live music stage, and versatile event spaces. In addition to these features, the project would also include a medical center.

The privately owned park would be anchored by Delaware-based Crooked Hammock , a casual restaurant and brewery that opened a location at North Myrtle Beach’s Barefoot Landing back in 2021. Owned by restauranteur Rich Garrahan , the venue would offer its signature craft beers and backyard brew-pub cuisine.

The initial phase of Gather MTP—which focuses on the gathering space—was brought before the town’s Design Review Board on April 24. Further scrutiny is scheduled for August, with the restaurant component slated for discussion next month.

Beyond Crooked Hammock, the proposed pedestrian and cyclist-friendly destination aims to house various food, beverage, and retail establishments. Stay tuned for updates as this project progresses.
