The 7th Grade basketball team lost two games against Chippewa Hills on Wednesday night. Game one came down to a buzzer beater 3 point shot by the Warriors to defeat the Eagles 36 – 35. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a lid on the bucket for Kent City and getting shots to fall was a struggle for the entire game. Game two was close for the majority of the contest before the Warriors pulled away in the 4th quarter to secure a 31 – 18 victory over Kent City. The effort from both Eagles teams should be applauded. Some nights, getting shots to fall is a struggle, that is part of the reality of basketball. Unfortunately, that dream does not come true for the majority of high school athletes. That is, unless you are in the upper echelon of your sport, which is exactly the case for seniors Jaiden Dickman and Josie Schrot.
