Londonderry’s heated discussion on zoning bylaws
LONDONDERRY, Vt. – On Monday, May 13, the Londonderry Selectboard held a special meeting to go over the proposed zoning bylaws, and to set a public hearing date to hear from the public in order to approve the amended bylaws. Setting the public hearing date was on the agenda at the regularly scheduled May 6 meeting, but Board Chair Tom Cavanagh pressed for additional time to look over the extensive packet.
World Cup skiing to return with Stifel Killington Cup in November 2024

Vermont Business Magazine Killington Resort is slated to kick off the 2024-25 Audi FIS Ski World Cup races in the U.S., hosting the Stifel Killington Cup for the eighth time over Thanksgiving weekend. 40,000 fans are expected to cheer on the fastest female ski racers in the world, including six-time Stifel Killington Cup slalom champion and winningest skier of all time Mikaela Shiffrin and last season’s overall World Cup winner and two-time Stifel Killington Cup giant slalom victor Lara Gut-Behrami. It is the most attended women’s event in the U.S.

New owners continue tradition at Colonial House Inn
WESTON, Vt. – Longtime Vermont resident John Nunnikhoven passed away on April 1, at age 87, leaving behind a legacy of a true “mom-and-pop” family business. A beloved presence in the community, and known for their friendly hospitality, Nunnikhoven and his wife Betty were the proprietors of the Colonial House Inn and Motel in Weston, Vt., from 1979-2002. They then sold the property to their daughter Kim and her husband Jeff Seymour, who ran the business for more than 20 years. John had been proud to say all three of his children, and two of his kids-in-law, worked at the inn over the years.
Regulators reject Woodstock water rate hike as provider faces aging infrastructure, flood damage
