CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A high-speed police chase ended after the suspect crashed on church property, state police said.

Jason Moore, 44, of Moshannon, was arrested after a police chase Sunday into Monday, April 22. Troopers said he crashed on the property of Severin Church on Kylertown Drifting Highway in Morrisdale and then tried to run on foot, according to the criminal complaint.

Troopers said they spotted Moore on the road in a GMC pickup with a license plate that was too dirty to read. When attempting a traffic stop, Moore allegedly kept driving at various speeds between 35 and 90 miles per hour. He allegedly crossed lanes, traveled in the oncoming lane, and drove through someone’s yard.

According to charges filed, troopers attempted a PIT maneuver which caused Moore to hit a tree on the church’s property. Moore then got out of the pickup truck and tried to run on foot. Two troopers were able to catch him and take him into custody.

Moore has been charged with fleeing, reckless endangerment, DUI, evading arrest, driving with a suspended license and more than 40 summary traffic violations.
