Warrenton Police Department report for November 27-December 3
The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of November 27 to December 3. South State Highway 47, motor vehicle accident. Single vehicle accident. Vehicle one was traveling southbound on Highway 47. Driver started coughing and lost control of the vehicle. Vehicle crossed Highway 47 and struck an electrical pole. The electrical pole was damaged and only held up by electrical wires. Vehicle one was towed from the scene by Approved Towing. Ameren was dispatched and replaced the electrical pole.

Warrenton OKs purchase of new police car as new hires begin
Warrenton aldermen approved purchasing a new police car for the department during its Nov. 21 meeting. City Administrator Brandie Walters told aldermen that the city was under budget for police wages by about $64,000. She asked aldermen to make a budget adjustment so some of that money could be used for the new vehicle.
