One of those projects kicks into shutdown mode Thursday night - access to Oakland from the Parkway East and the Boulevard of the Allies. Update: Allegheny County under a flash flood warning Wednesday night
On Wednesday at 9:04 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning in effect until 10:30 p.m. for Allegheny County. "At 9:04 p.m., Doppler radar showed thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring," states the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."
