SH-39 closure between Collins Road and US-26 planned for next week
BLACKFOOT — The Idaho Transportation Department plans to close State Highway 39 between Collins Road and US Highway 26 next week to repair the road at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing. A detour will be placed in the area at 7 a.m. on Monday, according to a news release from ITD. This detour will be in place until Thursday, which will give crews time to improve the approaches to the railroad. This work is intended to bring the roadway up to the railroad tracks, which will smooth the transitions. More information about this project or updates about traffic impacts and road conditions can be found on ITD’s website at 511.idaho.gov/#:Alerts.
