    Wright County Sheriff arrests:

    • Brittney Rae Holweger, 31, of Waconia was arrested May 1 in Monticello on a charge of third-degree DWI.

    • Diego Hernandez Chavez, 45, of Monticello was arrest-ed May 2 in Monticello on a charge of fourth-degree DWI.

    • Daniel Patrick Hendel, 43, of Monticello was arrested May 3 in Monticello on a charge of third-degree drug sale.

    • Michael Bruce Waldvogel, 36, of Osakis was arrested May 4 in Monticello on a charge of second-degree DWI.

    • Cody Allen Ochocki, 40, of Otsego was arrested May 4 in Monticello on a Wright County warrant for DWI refusal to test.

    • Jamie Marie Schmitt, 33, of Elk River was arrested May 4 in Monticello on a charge of third-degree DWI.

    • Gerrey Wayne Stevenson, 48, of Little Falls was arrested May 5 in Monticello on a charge of fifth-degree drug possession and a Morrison County warrant for third-degree burglary.

    Wright County Sheriff by the numbers:

    From April 29-May 6, there were 21 property damage accidents, six personal injury accidents, five hit-and-run accidents, four car-vs-deer accidents, seven DWI arrests, one for underage consumption, four school bus stop arm violations and117 miscellaneous traffic violations reported.

    Wright County Attorney’s Office court sentences:

    • Bradley John Dollar, 29, of Monticello, was sentenced on April 29 to 364 days jail, 362 days stayed on two-years probation, must serve two days, 30 days house arrest with electronic alcohol home monitoring, and fined $300 for DWI, operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours.

    • Brandon Axel Meza, 21, of Monticello, was sentenced on April 30 in two separate cases. In the first case, he was sentenced to 364 days jail, 354 days stayed on two-years probation, must serve 10 days, and fined $300 for introducing contraband drug/liquor into jail/lockup/prison. In the second case, he was sentenced to 90 days jail, 80 days stayed on one-year probation, must serve 10 days for DWI, operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours.

    • Joshua Vernon Goeman, 37, of Monticello, was sentenced on May 1 in two separate cases. In the first case, he was sentenced to 364 days jail, 334 days stayed on three-years probation, must serve 30 days, 60 days electronic alcohol home monitoring, and fined $250 for DWI, operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours. In the second case, he was sentenced to 90 days jail, 60 days stayed on one-year probation, must serve eight days for fifth-degree assault, inflict or attempt bodily harm.

    • Robert John Meredith, 32, of Monticello, was sentenced on May 1 to 364 days jail, 334 days stayed on two-years probation, must serve 30 days, and fined $50 for DWI, operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours.

    • Amyah Ann Marie Workcuff, 20, of Monticello, was sentenced on May 2 to 90 days jail, 88 days stayed on one-year probation, must serve two days for fifth-degree assault, inflict or attempt bodily harm.

    DNR Conservation Officer’s Report:

    • CO Trent Seamans (Big Lake) patrolled for anglers and turkey hunters. Additional time was spent assisting with Academy training and presenting at an ATV safety class. Enforcement action was taken for fishing without a license, targeting fish in their closed season, and allowing a juvenile to operate an ATV illegally.
