Southern soul singer Al Davis has roots in Montgomery
If you search the name “Al Davis” online, odds are you’ll first find info about a late, super-rich NFL executive. “I’m definitely not him,” said Southern soul artist Al Davis, who grew up in Montgomery, around the Woodley Park area. He’s also lived in Florida, but has called Macon, Georgia, his home since he was about 11.

Randy Travis bringing ‘The More Life Tour’ to Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Legendary country music singer Randy Travis is going on tour, and he’ll be making a stop in Montgomery, Alabama. Travis and the Original Randy Travis Band are back on stage for the “More Life Tour,” though guest singer James Dupré will be performing the vocals in Travis’ stead. Travis, Dupre, and the band will perform all 16 of Travis’s No. 1 hit songs.
