Monroe trio arrested after over 2 pounds of narcotics, firearms found during search warrant

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On May 2, 2024, detectives of the Monroe Police Department executed a search warrant for a residence on Erin Street. Upon arrival at the residence, detectives discovered over two pounds of Marijuana, three AR-15 Rifles, and a Glock 16 inside the apartment.

Three suspects were also found inside the residence and they were identified as Victor McFarland, Jaylon McFarland, and Markeith Duncan. Victor reportedly admitted to owning the Marijuana that was found in his bedroom, as well as two firearms. Duncan allegedly admitted to owning one Rifle and Marijuana found in his bedroom. Jaylon McFarland also reportedly admitted to owning a Rifle and Marijuana found in his bedroom.

According to detectives, all Firearms were in the presence of Narcotics. All three suspects allegedly denied selling Marijuana although Metro Narcotics Agents have received information that all three suspects allegedly sell narcotics.

All three suspects were arrested and booked on the following charges:

Jaylon McFarland

• Possession with Intent CDS I (Marijuana)
• Illegal Carrying of a Firearm (Presence of Narcotics)

Victor McFarland

• Illegal Carrying of a Firearm (Presence of Narcotics)
• Illegal Carrying of a Firearm (Presence of Narcotics)
• Illegal Carrying of a Firearm (Presence of Narcotics)
• Possession with Intent CDS I (Marijuana)

Markeith Duncan

• Illegal Carrying of a Firearm (Presence of Narcotics)
• Illegal Carrying of a Firearm (Presence of Narcotics)
• Illegal Carrying of a Firearm (Presence of Narcotics)
• Possession with Intent CDS I (Marijuana)
