Monroe elementary school mourn the passing of its employee

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On April 27, 2024, officials of Roy N. Shelling Elementary School announced the passing of one of their paraprofessionals, Cherteria Kennedy. Cherteria worked as a Paraprofessional for Pre-Kindergarten at the school and she was described by officials as a special lady.

Yesterday, our Roy N. Shelling Sr. Elementary School family lost a very special lady, Ms. Cherteria Kennedy. She touched the hearts of so many people and made such a valuable difference in the lives of so many children. While at Shelling Elementary, Ms. Kennedy worked as a Paraprofessional for Pre-Kindergarten and received the students during morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups. Ms. Kennedy will be remembered for the LOVE that she had and showed for the students, faculty and staff. She was loved by many and will truly be missed by all!
