Authorities Eradicate Over 500 Marijuana Plants In Valley Springs Raid
Calaveras, CA– On April 26th, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Bright Star Road, resulting in the eradication of 535 marijuana plants from a residential property. The operation, conducted by the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department’s (MET) Team, aimed to combat illegal marijuana cultivation and protect public safety.

Fire Extinguished In Downtown Jackson
Jackson, CA — A fire damaged a commercial building in Jackson over the weekend. Amador Fire Department officials report that it happened on Sunday morning at around 2:30. It ignited at 105 Main Street in in the back of the Main Event Bar. Fire officials were able to contain it with only a minor extension to the adjoining building. There were no injuries reported and the cause has been under investigation.
Children’s advocacy center rededicated as Kelli’s House
The Resource Connection’s Calaveras Children’s Advocacy Center in Valley Springs was rededicated as Kelli’s House on April 24. Today, the trail announced its collaboration with Visit Oakland, Visit Mendocino County, and the Humboldt County Visitors Bureau. The lush, nine-county trail will add eight new historic landmarks, including Huckleberry Hill Farms in Redway and the Humboldt Cannabis Tours, as well as dispensaries and lounges like Plantshop and The Bohemian Chemist.
