CARMEL – Until 2020, except for a story hour in Putnam Valley, Putnam was the only county in the Hudson Valley that contained no public Pride events. The change came amidst the COVID pandemic when a small group marched down Carmel’s Gleneida Avenue in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter group.
