Anthony Edwards Issues Blunt Message to Teammates Following Timberwolves’ Loss to Mavericks

This version of the Minnesota Timberwolves looks a bit different from the team that we saw in the Western Conference Semifinals against the Denver Nuggets.

With a heroic game-winning three-pointer from Luka Doncic to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 2-0 series lead in the Western Finals, Anthony Edwards and his teammates are in a tough spot going on the road for the next two games.

For Edwards, one of the rising stars in the NBA, the question going forward is how the team can bounce back, and what he can do in his own game to improve.

"I'm turning down a lot of shots, but we're getting a lot of open looks so I'm not tripping," Edwards said after Game 2. "They're open, so I'm making the right play. But sometimes the right play might be just to shoot it."

In other words, Edwards is frustrated that his teammates aren't stepping up and knocking down shots when they're open.

Of course, Edwards has not seen the same level of scoring or production in this series as we saw earlier in the playoffs, either. Through these two games, he's averaging just 20 points, 7.5 assists, and 8 rebounds.

The next game of the series comes on Sunday night in Dallas, and it is virtually a must-win game if Minnesota has any hopes of making this a series.
