Fans Furious as NBA Refs Single Out Anthony Edwards with Tech, Spare Jamal Murray

NBA refs had one of their more inconsistent performances of the postseason in Game 1 of the Nuggets vs. Timberwolves series Saturday night.

Late in the third quarter, Anthony Edwards with a technical foul for his staredown of Nuggets veteran Reggie Jackson.

At the time, the NBA world erupted in frustration over the foul call, arguing it was "weak," especially in a playoff game.

The situation escalated late in the fourth quarter when Jamal Murray drained a three, plus the foul, and pointed finger guns at Karl-Anthony Towns. He didn't get hit with a tech, though.

This shouldn't be a surprise. Denver gets the calls it wants. The Nuggets are, after all, the defending champs.

But to hit Edwards with a tech for his staredown but ignore Murray's clear taunting is ridiculous. Not before long Edwards and the Timberwolves will have the entire NBA world backing them.

NBA fans had plenty to say about the inconsistencies of Saturday night's officiating crew.
