Lyn-Lake bar Fool Me Once closes abruptly

Fool Me Once, a bar and restaurant in Minneapolis' Lyn-Lake neighborhood, has closed abruptly approximately eight months after opening .

A GoFundMe page created Monday by June De states the bar's employees were laid off without notice and the bar closed immediately.

"Fool Me Once was a welcoming inclusive community space built by the people who worked tirelessly to spread joy and kindness to their regulars and newcomers," the page reads, adding all donated funds will be split "based on the needs to each staff member."

Three hospitality industry veterans with Tennessee ties opened Fool Me Once in the space formerly occupied by The Country Bar in August.

Bring Me The News has reached out to the bar's ownership for comment on the closure.
