Free pet microchips available for Gregg County residents during June
Longview, Texas (KLTV) - It’s National Microchipping Month, and the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center wants to bring that theme to their shelter. For the entire month of June, the shelter is offering free microchips for the pets of Gregg County residents. According to the shelter, “microchipping is one of the most effective ways to keep your furry friends safe and ensure they always find their way home.” No appointment is required for the operation, but a form of identification is and there’s a limit of two microchips for each owner. The shelter encouraged people to take this special offer because the Fourth of July is right around the corner, which leads to many pets running off due to the loud fireworks.
