Lake Tahoe Emerald Bay and Maggie's Peak Hike with Amazing Views
Hiking high above Lake Tahoe and Emerald Bay to the top of northern Maggie's Peak at an elevation of 8,499'. We met a nice group of hikers at the top enjoying the views. You can see Granite Lake on the left, Cascade Lake in the middle and Fallen Leaf Lake to the right of the screen. It's a great 5 mile hike with about 1,800' vertical gain. A 3D Pen Art Program for adults is 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the Douglas County Public Library in Minden. Registration is not required. Children are allowed to participate if they are accompanied by an adult. The library will provide 3D pens, plastic filament, tutorials, and templates. Carson Follies preparing for 26th year
In its 26th year, the Carson Follies goes to “Outer Space,” a variety show featuring songs, numbers, skits, and favorites. Showtimes are 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, and 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive. Admission is free or by donation. There will be raffle tickets for purchase, a 50/50 drawing, and concessions.
