Despite the Milwaukee Bucks’ early NBA playoff exit, there is no indication that Giannis Antetokounmpo is considering his future with the team, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

Windhorst stated on Get Up that “we’ll see how the offseason plays out,” fueling speculation about a potential blockbuster trade. However, Antetokounmpo signed a contract extension last summer, keeping him with the Bucks through at least 2026-27.

While this doesn’t rule out a trade request, the Bucks’ recent history suggests they may try to shake things up to convince Antetokounmpo to stay. In the past, the team made significant moves, such as acquiring Jrue Holiday and Damian Lillard , to demonstrate their commitment to building a winning team around their star player.

However, General Manager Jon Horst may not have many options left to make a significant impact. The Bucks’ trade for Lillard was their last major move, and the early results have been underwhelming. The team’s coaching change, replacing Adrian Griffin with Doc Rivers , also failed to yield the desired results, with the Bucks going 17-19 under Rivers.
