Millsboro Police Department's Bike Rodeo draws good turnout

MILLSBORO – A portion of the Millsboro Lowe’s parking lot served as the staging ground last Saturday for the Millsboro Police Department’s annual Bike Rodeo.

Nice spring weather resulted in a good turnout, during which the department handed out 100 free bicycle helmets, according to Adrian Acri, Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police.

Bike participants had the opportunity to navigate a bicycle safety course provided by the Delaware Department of Transportation.

In addition to DelDOT and Lowes, event supporters/sponsors included Millsboro Fire Department, Ace Cycles (bike giveaways), Journey Church, Texas Roadhouse, State Fire Marshal K9, Department of Justice, Sussex Mobile Command, Sussex Paramedics, Kim Benton State Farm, Read A Loud Delaware, and Delaware State Fire School.
