Millersport American Legion Auxiliary Unit 637 has announced that their Little Miss Poppy Queen for 2024 will be Hannah Hampson. Please come out for our annual Poppy Day on Saturday, May 4. Several members along with our 2024 Little Miss Poppy Queen Hannah, will hand out poppies in honor of our veterans. Hannah is 8 years old and is the daughter of Jerome and Kelly Hampson of Lancaster. She is a second-grade student in Lancaster City Schools. She has four brothers, Seth, Cole, Bret and Zack Hampson. Hannah has been a Junior Auxiliary member for eight years under her great-grandfather John Sabo. She is very excited to be our 2024 Little Miss Poppy Queen and hopes to see everyone Saturday, May 4 at the Circle K in Millersport. A special thank you to all who help support our veteran.

Licking County Crime Stoppers offering $1,000 reward for information on Pataskala theft
Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a Pataskala theft. The Pataskala Division of Police reports that between March 23-25, suspect(s) broke into a home in the 200 block of Gloria Road and stole multiple items, including jewelry, televisions, stereo equipment and tools. The stolen items are valued at more than $7,000.
Columbus Library cuts the ribbon on new Reynoldsburg branch
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Hundreds gathered Wednesday for the official opening ceremony of the new Reynoldsburg Library branch. The new branch at 1402 Brice Rd. was built in 1980 and was renovated and expanded in 1990 to 19,800 square feet. The building was later demolished in 2022 for the new two-level branch that is double in size.

The Ohio Board of Nursing relocated its headquarters from 17 S. High St., Suite 660, in Columbus, to 8995 E. Main St. in Reynoldsburg, effective March 11. Look out for mosquitoes a little earlier this spring due to warmer winter
LANCASTER − Might be a good idea to get the mosquito repellent out. Fairfield County Health Commissioner Joe Ebel Tuesday updated the county commissioners on happenings at the health department. He said because of the milder winter more mosquito eggs survived the winter. That means mosquitoes will make their spring debut earlier.
