Police: Suspect fired shots at officers in Franklinton
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police is searching for a suspect who reportedly fired shots at officers in the Franklinton neighborhood Friday morning. A spokesperson with the police department said officers were in the area of Canonby Place around 2:10 a.m. on patrol duty and reported hearing shots being fired close by.
US Marshals, Columbus SWAT arrest twin brothers for July murder in Italian Village
Twin brothers who have been wanted since July for a Columbus murder have been apprehended. Levander Davis, 25, of the North Side, and De'Andre Davis, 25, of Italian Village, were arrested Thursday by members of the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) and the Columbus Division of Police SWAT. They are being held in the Franklin County jail.
Columbus Officers Recovering from Injuries in Separate Incidents Involving Stolen Cars
Three Columbus police officers are recovering after two different incidents on Wednesday night. The first incident involved a disturbance on the 1300 block of Coburg Road. Columbus police responded to a dispute between two groups of teenagers and a stolen Hyundai car. A 14-year-old teen was arrested later for reversing the car into a police officer, resulting in minor injuries to the officer.
