Hickory Sticks Golf Club hosts Continental Schools
VAN WERT — YMCA Hickory Sticks Golf Club recently hosted Continental schools where 60-70 students came out and enjoyed the Foot golf area!. Hickory Sticks provides the community with growing recreational sports such as Foot golf and Frisbee golf. It has a nine-hole course. Frisbee and Foot golf are open to all youth and members of the Van Wert YMCA to enjoy, free of charge, throughout the summer months.
Historic Model T makes trip through West Central Ohio on Lincoln Highway
GOMER, OHIO (WLIO) - A piece of Ford history rolled through our area on Monday as it recreated a trip that it made 100 years ago. Dan Groman shot video of the 10 millionth Ford Model T driving on the Lincoln Highway through Gomer Monday, after leaving Mansfield that morning. The historic vehicle is making the same coast-to-coast drive from New York to San Fransico on Lincoln highway that it made back in 1924 after it rolled off the assembly line. The trip is sponsored by the Lincoln Highway Association.

Kaitlyn Schmit & Friends open concert series
Kaitlyn Schmit & Friends opened this year’s Delphos Rotary Club Music in the Park concert series on Sunday. The band played to a sizable crowd. The next concert will begin at 6 p.m. on June 23 and features Northwest Ohio’s Electrik Circus. Electrik Circus provides the ultimate in high-energy live entertainment featuring the most popular “Rockers and Ballads” songs of the 80s era. LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - Since the 1950's, Lima and its surrounding areas have seen a new surge in housing developments. While this growth brings new opportunities, it also presents a new set of challenges. The Lima/Allen Co. Regional Planning Commission talked to the Lima Rotary Club about “Urban Sprawl.” “Urban Sprawl” is the spread of a city or town into the countryside, which leads to low-density and car-dependent development patterns.

At both Columbus Grove and Pandora library branches, the PCDL hosted a “Blue Friend Adventures Party!” that featured the fan-favorite Australian Blue Heeler, Bluey, and multiple fun activities.
