The numbers were drawn on Monday, May 6.

    The winning numbers are 7, 23, 24, 56, 60 and the red Powerball 25.

The jackpot is worth $214.9 million.

The lucky ticket was sold at a Publix on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami Shores, Florida, according to The Palm Beach Post.

Miami Shores is just north of Miami.

    POWERBALL PAYOUT

The jackpot amounts to just under $215 million, but the cash value is $100.1 million, according to Powerball officials.

The winner will have a choice between the annuity payments of $214.9 million or the lump sum payment worth $100.1 million.

Both prize options are before taxes.

If the winner chooses the annuity option, they'll receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Aside from the jackpot won by a single ticket, there are eight other ways to win.

The most recent drawing had 385,220 winning tickets nationwide.

Lottery officials said one ticket in Idaho matched all five white balls and increased its winnings from $1 million to $2 million because the Power Play feature was purchased for an extra dollar.

    Seven tickets won $100,000 prizes.

    Six tickets won $50,000 prizes.

    WAYS TO WIN POWERBALL

Powerball drawings happen three times a week. There are several combinations to win money.

    • Match five white balls and the Powerball for the jackpot (one in 292,201,338 odds)
    • Match five white balls for $1 million (one in 11,688,053.52 odds)
    • Match four white balls and the Powerball for $50,000 (one in 913,129.18 odds)
    • Match four white balls for $100 (one in 36,525.17 odds)
    • Match three white balls and the Powerball for $100 (one in 14,494.11 odds)
    • Match three white balls for $7 (one in 579.76 odds)
    • Match two white balls and the Powerball for $7 (one in 701.33 odds)
    • Match one white ball and the Powerball for $4 (one in 91.98 odds)
    • Match only the Powerball for $4 (one in 38.32 odds)

It costs $2 for a Powerball ticket.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 pm ET.

    FLORIDA FUN

Florida lottery data reveals this is the 12th time the Powerball jackpot had a Florida winner dating back to when the game was made available in the Sunshine State in 2009.

Five winning tickets were sold at a Publix supermarket.

All, but one, chose the cash option.

The one ticket, from a May 25, 2013 drawing, expired without a winner coming forward. The jackpot was worth $50,000,000.

A Powerball prize in North Carolina is worth $200,000 but it's expiring soon.

Meanwhile, a $500,000 Powerball prize is unclaimed in Iowa.
