Jimmy Butler has gone viral for his off-court antics yet again. The Miami Heat star missed the 2024 NBA playoffs, due to an MCL injury he suffered in the play-in games.

This led to a matchup of No. 8 Miami and the No. 1 Boston Celtics in the first round. Without Butler, the Heat’s chances were proven to be slim, losing in five games to the Celtics.

Butler spoke on that matchup, confident that Miami would have taken the series. Another major take he dropped was his view on the New York Knicks.

He believes the Heat would have definitely beaten the Knicks if he were in the lineup and able to make an impact in the playoffs. Miami would have been matched with New York if they could have secured the play-in victory against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Butler also took this time to call out Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau. He has recently played for Thibodeau on the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves.

He said he loves Thibodeau, but he’s not “in-love” with him, per Rock The Bells on Instagram. It seems there’s a good relationship there, but Butler said he wouldn’t be interested in playing under Thibodeau again in his career.
