Another round of storms tonight & tomorrow
PANAMA CITY, FL. (WMBB-TV) — First round storms moving out this evening with another chances storms late tonight & tomorrow. Tonight already seeing a MCS forming out towards our west just to the east of Houston Texas. This will continue to work towards the Panhandle tonight. Right now timing for the storms looks to be between 2 AM to 7 AM. The SPC has issued a slight risk for severe weather for tonight and tomorrow. Main concern is still wind, isolated flash flooding, and can’t rule out an isolated tornado.

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay first in area, among first in U.S. to implant new defibrillator
PANAMA CITY − A local hospital has successfully incorporated a new technology that officials believe will help save lives. According to a press release from Ascension Sacred Heart Bay, it is the first hospital in the region and among the first in the U.S. to successfully implant into a patient a Medtronic Aurora Extravascular Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - After an active morning and afternoon on Monday with severe weather over NWFL we will will see another round of storms develop tonight w/lows in the 60s. The threat for strong to severe storms will be between 1am CT and 4AM CT, but could linger to as late at 7am. Damaging wind, tornadoes, and heavy rain are the primary threats. Rainfall totals will be 1-2″, but could reach 2-4″ in spots. Highs on Tuesday will reach the low 80s. Rain chances could linger some into the afternoon, but most of our area will dry out by the morning. Expect sunny and quiet weather on Wednesday into Thursday. Rain chances return by Friday into the weekend.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Clouds continue to increase tonight with overnight lows temperatures falling to the mid to upper 60s. Keep an umbrella handy Monday and Tuesday as a 80% chance of rain is forecast tomorrow, mainly in the afternoon hours, and an 80% chance is forecast on Tuesday in the morning and afternoon before clearing out during the night. A level 2/5 risk for severe weather is present on Monday, mainly for heavy rain fall, and a level 1/5 is forecast for Tuesday.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It’s going to be a quiet night tonight in NWFL with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the 60s inland and in the 70s at the coast. Expect the sun to return in abundance on Wednesday w/highs in the low to mid 80s (coast) and mid to upper 80s (inland). The sunny, warm and dry weather continues through Thursday before rain chances return to the forecast Friday into Saturday w/another 1-2″ of rain possible.

Panama City commissioners are looking at implementing paid parking in St. Andrews and Downtown Panama City. City officials say the problem is people parking on Harrison Avenue for over 2 hours.
