PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Clouds continue to increase tonight with overnight lows temperatures falling to the mid to upper 60s. Keep an umbrella handy Monday and Tuesday as a 80% chance of rain is forecast tomorrow, mainly in the afternoon hours, and an 80% chance is forecast on Tuesday in the morning and afternoon before clearing out during the night. A level 2/5 risk for severe weather is present on Monday, mainly for heavy rain fall, and a level 1/5 is forecast for Tuesday.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It’s going to be a quiet night tonight in NWFL with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the 60s inland and in the 70s at the coast. Expect the sun to return in abundance on Wednesday w/highs in the low to mid 80s (coast) and mid to upper 80s (inland). The sunny, warm and dry weather continues through Thursday before rain chances return to the forecast Friday into Saturday w/another 1-2″ of rain possible.

School Board Members Discuss Final Budget
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -Tuesday Bay District School board members met at the Nelson Building for the last time this school year. During the meeting, board members celebrated schools with the highest grade point averages this year. They also approved a new principal for Jinks Middle School and discussed the remaining dollars for this year’s school budget. The superintendent Mark McQueen wants to give a raise to noninstructional staff. He says Bay District Schools is below average when paying noninstructional staff. These positions include bus drivers, maintenance workers, and cafeteria staff. He says BDS teachers make the most money in the panhandle.
