Early morning tragedy struck the city of Lake Elsinore yesterday when a driver was killed in a harrowing single-vehicle crash. According to a statement obtained by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the incident unfolded on May 2, around 5:45 a.m. on Lake Street east of Mountain Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies, alongside Cal Fire, discovered the driver trapped and were unable to save the individual, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
