    More warm temps, sunshine before dayslong heatwave kicks in later this week

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Make sure to grab the sunglasses and get outside.

    It's a cooler start to the day with decreasing cloud cover.

    Watch out for patchy fog.

    Temperatures on Monday afternoon are expected to rise in to the low-to-mid-80s across the Mid-South.

    Rain chance: <10%.

    Winds: 10 mph.

    LOOKING AHEAD: Below-average temperatures during the first half of the week with temperatures in the low-to-mid-90s starting Friday. Rain chances stay low until the end of the weekend.

    WEDNESDAY: Sunny and warm. Highs back into the middle 80s with lower humidity. High of 85 degrees. Winds W 5-10mph. THURSDAY: Sunny and turning hot. Humidity begins to increase. Temperatures could get above 90 degrees in parts of the Mid-South, and this is likely to start a heatwave across the region for the first time this year. High of 90 degrees. Winds S 5-10 mph.
