Ace Hardware owners purchase old Rite Aid location for expansion
Auburn’s Ace Hardware store will be moving into a much larger space later this year, as the business’ owners recently purchased the old Rite Aid location on Highway 49. Darek and Carrie Borba officially took ownership of 420 Grass Valley Highway, a former Rite Aid Pharmacy, last week.
Memorial Day honors 'selfless service'
The Auburn community began Memorial Day gathered at the New Auburn Cemetery to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Couple set up by groom’s grandmother gets married at her Folsom retirement home
FOLSOM, Calif. — A Folsom wedding took place at a retirement home Sunday, so the groom’s elderly grandmother didn’t have to travel. Judy Bryant, 99, was one of over 50 guests at the wedding of William Bryant, of Auburn, and his bride April Rose, of Citrus Heights, at Creekside Oaks in Folsom, according to family spokeswoman Erin Peacock.
