This is the no new tax Ravenna Schools continuing improvement levy on the ballot this November. It makes a lot of sense, and I hope voters overwhelmingly support it. Issue 5 will continue a levy that Ravenna citizens already pay. The levy raises about $947,150 annually on not more than 2.9 mills and keeps the school buildings and equipment in good shape. Sebring McKinley students work on school's Trojan Pantry
Thanks to additional support from Second Harvest Food Bank, United Way and Sebring residents, students at McKinley Jr./Sr. High School are spending more time this year preparing items to be delivered. Nicole Mathias’ Success and Wellness class at McKinley begin each school day working on the school's Trojan Pantry. In addition to pantry staples, after-school snacks are available on the shelves for students to enjoy before their extracurricular activities. Mathias’ students keep track of the pantry’s inventory, place orders, stock shelves and deliver food items to classrooms.
