BGSU trio grateful to help establish winning culture within baseball program
BOWLING GREEN — The 2024 Bowling Green State University baseball season was significant in numerous ways to those who were involved with the program. For Rigo Ramos, Jack Krause, and Tyler Ross, it was perhaps a little more special. “There’s been a lot of ups and downs, mostly downs. But, with this year being the final year for me, Tyler Ross, Jack Krause, the three guys who were here back in 2020 when the program got cut, it just means a little bit more,” said Ramos, a 2019 Archbold High School graduate. “The day we clinched the [Mid-American Conference] championship at Eastern [Michigan], it was cool but it didn’t quite settle in until after the fact.

Man screams at Wood County judge after hearing
BOWLING GREEN — A man screamed at a Wood County judge after appearing Monday on three charges, including assaulting a peace officer. “You made a mistake, Molly,” Tyler Brogan, 33, yelled at Common Pleas Judge Mary “Molly” Mack after appearing with his attorney Monday and having a jury trial scheduled for July. He was in leg and arm chains and wore an orange jumpsuit. He left the courtroom with his attorney, and his voice could be heard steadily rising in the back of the visitors area. As a security officer brought him through the courtroom to leave the courthouse, Mr. Brogan yelled at the judge in front of reporters, attorneys, and Judge Mack and her staff.
Sonic boom may be heard during flight check Wednesday, 180th says
SWANTON, Ohio — Residents across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan may hear a sonic boom Wednesday while the 180th Fighter Wing conducts a flight check in the region. According to a press release from the 180th, the base will conduct multiple functional flight checks between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and again between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The trainings will be conducted around Toledo and Bowling Green, and residents across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan may hear the boom.
