BALTIMORE - Residents in Pasadena in Anne Arundel County tell WJZ they are concerned after learning Maryland Port Administration is considering putting dredge material in part of the river where they swim, fish and boat. BALTIMORE - A stray dog spent his final years loved and cared for by many in Glen Burnie, and it's all thanks to two strangers who gave him a chance. Now, Brownie is being remembered for bringing the community together. More than 100 people were expected to attend a candlelight vigil on Thursday in honor of Brownie, who died last week. Newly completed living shoreline will help preserve shrinking shoreline at Franklin Point State Park
BALTIMORE -- Residents in a historically Black community in Anne Arundel County can walk and play on their beach again after they had watched the shoreline disappear.The Columbia Beach community at Franklin Point State Park was losing 4 to 8 feet of their shoreline each year because of erosion and flooding, according to the Department of Natural Resources."The shoreline went out maybe 100 or 75 yards so we had some beach, and in that 20-year period, it literally eroded to like 8 feet, almost to the tree line here. Blue Angels Take To The Skies In Annual USNA Air Show
As part of the Naval Academy’s Commissioning Week celebrations, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels soared over the Severn River on May 22 for their annual flight demonstration. Their elite team of pilots performed gravity-defying maneuvers and impressive formations – flying as close as 18 inches apart – in six F/A-18 Super Hornets and a C-130J transport.
Broadneck Student Heads To Bootcamp With Candice Antwine Award
Ana Rosas, a graduating senior from Broadneck High School, is going on the adventure of a lifetime and she couldn’t be happier. She is the cadet chief petty officer in her Junior Navy ROTC unit at Annapolis High School as part of a magnet program that accepts students from other schools across the county. Rosas also serves as head unit translator, supply lead officer, and recruiting officer, and she will soon enter 10 weeks of Army training bootcamp, followed by up to another 10 weeks of personal training.

A group of scheming high school seniors seem to have gotten the last laugh on their whole town before graduation. On April 30, Facebook user Marlena Calobong posted about a prank played on the residents of Pasadena, Maryland. According to Calobong, high school seniors legitimately fooled townsfolk into thinking a Trader Joe’s was opening in their neighborhood.
